Thanks so very much, Ant! I definitely have an "unpolished style" and if I could draw comics like anyone, it would be the painter, Alice Neel. I took a lot of joy in the second drawing and I'm glad you could get something out of it too.

Aw man that is such a beautiful sentiment (the second part! THE SECOND PART!!! Jeez now you're gonna think i'm some kinda perv, sorry! That part IS funny, though!). I love your comics, first saw your stuff in the Ivan Brunetti anthology, the Yale book (seems years ago now even though it was, what, '08?!?), sought out Girl Stories and then came across Goddess of War in Forbidden Planet in London and got that....You draw beautifully, your kind of "unpolished" style (if that's the right word, if it isn't, I apologise--I mean in the world of "Comics art" I guess you're evoking or akin to someone like Gary Panter---in the "fine art" world--Jeez--I dunno who you evoke....Goya's war series, maybe? Certain Picasso periods?) isn't one that immediately attracts me when I open a comic, it's a style that can make dodgy drawing look fucking terrible, but when it's "done right" it unrolls like an expressive inky latticed spiderweb of nervous mark-making where every line vibrates with LIVING FLUID ENERGY.......and you've got that, my goodness you've got that! This is all a long-winded way of saying : "good stuff", basically....i'm sorry if I've bored you! Waffled on far too long!
I wish you and yours all the possible love, happiness and positivity in all your future endeavors! All the best (from the good old United Kingdom)!
